Final Fantasy Unlimited

The “Pillar of Darkness” comes into existence as a portal into another world known as the Inner World that first appeared off the Sea of Japan. Geologist couple Joe and Marie Hayakawa, are the first to enter the Inner World and return with fascinating accounts of their adventures there.

It is now twelve years later, and the Pillar has since become a popular tourist attraction. Having written a bestselling book on the Inner World, the Hayakawas once again journey into the Inner World. But when they fail to return this time, their twin children, Yuu and Ai Hayakawa, decide to search for their missing parents. The two children are joined by the enigmatic Lisa Pacifist, whom they meet while taking the train to the Inner World.

Traveling from one exotic land to another, the trio soon learns of an evil that threatens not just the Inner World but theirs as well. It appears that the devious Earl Tyrant plans to rule over the universe by consuming every other world beyond the Inner World.

What Yuu and Ai didn’t come to expect, though, is that their parents are helping them!

Final Fantasy Unlimited is a fantasy adventure series from animation studio GONZO, inspired by the popular Final Fantasy video game series.
